Lim Banned Buses

April 04, 2008 By: andrewPelago Category: Social Issues No Comments →

Last Tuesday, I attended my graduation practice in Manila. Yes, I have finished my four years in college - sad because I won’t be receiving any allowance anymore… I am just kidding. Haha! The hot weather just makes me hot tempered! All I want was to go home right ahead and immerse myself in a cold cold shower or maybe take a swim. Enough of it, though. What made me upset that day was the fact that all of the buses are ending up in Harrison Plaza instead of the usual that its either they will park in Park and Ride, Lawton or in Sta Cruz, Manila. I asked the fare collector why and he said that they were banned by Mayor Alfredo Lim for whatever reason he don’t know either.

Many of the Cavite passengers were very confused of what’s the real score behind it, not just confused but I, myself is very upset because it is it’ll be harder for the Cavite passengers to ride a jeep going to Harrison Plaza when there is a designated bus stop which is the Park and Ride in Lawton.

I suggest that the Manila traffic authority can do a re-routing scheme that the buses can still end up to Park and Ride in Lawton. It is much safer to go that way rather than the passengers are going to the dark streets of Mabini and Adriatico.
